Using the site
Panchang USA provides calendar and religious-observance information for general guidance, free of charge. It is not astrological, legal, medical, financial or religious-authority advice. Traditions differ; for any important ceremony consult a qualified priest or jyotishi. We work hard to be accurate and show where rules differ, but we cannot promise that every date and time will agree with every other source, and we are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of the site.
Please do not misuse the site, try to break it, or collect its content in bulk. Our written guides are protected by copyright; you may link to them and quote short passages with credit.
SMS (text message) terms
Panchang USA can send text-message reminders about the Hindu festivals, vrats, tithis, ancestor days and muhurat dates that you choose when you sign up. Text reminders are not switched on yet. If you tick the optional text-message box, we record your consent now and will start texting only after text service is approved and live; we will announce it by email first.
- Program: Panchang USA reminders. Messages are reminders you asked for and short links; we do not send marketing from third parties.
- Frequency: varies with the reminders you choose, usually a few messages a month, at most one message a day.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
- Opt out: reply STOP to any message to cancel at any time, or untick the box on your settings page. Reply HELP for help or write to [email protected].
- Consent is not a condition of using the site or of receiving email reminders.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Privacy: we do not share mobile numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. See the privacy policy.
We send only the reminders you chose, plus essential service messages (confirmation, settings). Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
